The Operational Support Airlift Agency (OSAA) at
Fort Belvoir is receiving a new commanding officer as Command Sergeant Major Victor Angry stepped down from his position during a change of responsibility ceremony at nearby Davison Army Airfield.
Angry, who has been the OSAA's command sergeant major since November 2007, will be leaving to serve as the interim command sergeant major of the Army National Guard where he will act as the representative and advocate for enlisted soldiers and non-commissioned officers (NCOs) to army command and Congress itself, according to the military press.
Taking his place will be Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey McClure, who was excited for the opportunity that this new role provided.
"It's an honor to serve with all the great Soldiers of the Operational Support Airlift Agency," McClure told the crowd gathered at the change of responsibility ceremony. "I will strive to build on your accomplishments and enforce the standards expected from all NCOs."
McClure is a 27-year veteran of the service having served as an advanced rifle marksmanship instructor and a cavalry scout, in addition to serving as a Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) at every level, including staff assignments at the four-star level.
