Improving the performance of the military's medical response units is integral to the health and wellbeing of American soldiers. To help improve the performance of military medics, the 375th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AES) at
Scott AFB have been overseeing training sessions of the Air Force Critical Care Air Transport Teams (CCATT) across the country.
Five Members of the 375th have been making the rounds over the past week, stopping in Louisville, Kentucky before heading to Cincinnati, Ohio, to participate in the graduation exercises of the CCATT's Advanced Course at the Center for Sustainment of Training and Readiness Skills.
The crew oversaw a training regiment with the Kentucky Air National Guard's 123rd Operations Group in the process.
Lieutenant Colonel Lisa McKinney of the 375th told the military press that the training was designed to better coordinate the interactions between the CCATT and the AES for transporting critical patients on board an aircraft.
"Our CCATT Teams must train with AE; we can't do it alone," said Colonel Jay Johannigman, the incoming Mobilization Assistant for the 375th.
