The
Fort Belvoir Community Hospital's Dumfries and Fairfax Health Centers are now taking patients after the facilities were relocated recently, the Belvoir Eagle reports.
The facilities were moved to provide better services to military families on base, the news outlet reports. The Fairfax and Woodbridge Family health clinics are relocating to improve clinical efficiency, modernize facilities and make it accessible for more patients. The new facility is near interstates, major highways and public transportation stops.
"The new family health centers offer the same, high-quality services that our patients expect," said Dr. John Roser, medical director at Fairfax. "We're looking forward to seeing our patients and their families at the new locations this summer."
Both of the new locations will provide a range of outpatient and primary care, plus specialty care like radiology, wellness programs, health promotion and disease management, the news outlet reports.
The hospital was originally built to care for the nation's heroes, but now serves spouses, children, retirees and other members of the community, according to its official website.
