Lodging Details: Temporary Lodging Facilities at the Sleepy Tortoise Lodge consist of queen and double queen rooms. All rooms include internet access and fully equipped kitchenettes. Base Location: The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, also known as Twentynine Palms Marine Base is located in the Morongo Basin which covers an area from approximately Interstate 10 to Interstate 40. Within the Morongo Basin are located the towns of Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms. The base lies 60 miles east of Palm Springs.
